Genshin Impact Top Up: $1.23 Per Wish With Double Bonus
A Genesis Crystals top up with the first-time bonus costs $1.23 per Wish instead of $2.47. Full tier prices, pity math, and when buying beats Welkin.
What one Wish actually costs after the bonus
After a Genesis Crystals top up, one Wish costs 160 Primogems, and crystals convert to Primogems at exactly 1:1. On the $99.99 tier the first-time double bonus hands you 12,960 crystals — 81 Wishes at roughly $1.23 each. Buy that pack again and you get 8,080, about $1.98 per Wish; with no bonus gift at all the bare rate is $2.47.
The 160-Primogems rule
Genesis Crystals aren't Wishes yet. They sit in your inventory until you open the Shop exchange screen and swap them for Primogems manually — nothing converts on its own. From there, 160 Primogems buy one Intertwined Fate, and a 10-pull is exactly 1,600. Crystals never expire and they also pay for outfits, namecards, and bundles, so hold some back if you're eyeing a skin.
Standard rate vs first-time rate
Every tier carries a permanent bonus gift on top of the listed crystals — 300 becomes 330, 6,480 becomes 8,080 — and that gift is baked into every purchase after the first. The first-time double bonus is separate and much larger: it doubles the total outright. For the current genesis crystals top up first time double bonus picture in one place, buffget lists each tier with clear pricing and fast delivery straight to your UID.
Every Genesis Crystal tier
Six packs, six separate bonus trackers — topping up one tier never touches another. These are USD list prices; regional currency and tax shift what you see at checkout.
Price table with bonus totals
| Price | First-time total | Repeat total | Crystals per $ (first-time) |
|---|---|---|---|
| $0.99 | 120 | 60 | 121.21 |
| $4.99 | 600 | 330 | 120.24 |
| $14.99 | 1,960 | 1,090 | 130.75 |
| $29.99 | 3,960 | 2,240 | 132.04 |
| $49.99 | 6,560 | 3,880 | 131.22 |
| $99.99 | 12,960 | 8,080 | 129.61 |
Which tier is the best value
The $29.99 pack is cheapest per crystal at 132.04 with the double bonus, just ahead of $49.99 (131.22) and $14.99 (130.75). The two smallest packs fall behind — five $4.99 buys give you fewer crystals than one $29.99 pack. Once the bonus is spent the ranking flips: $99.99 leads at 80.81 crystals per dollar.
How the first-time double bonus works
Top up $99.99 today and the $29.99 tier still sits there untouched.
Once per tier, per account

Each tier holds exactly one first-purchase bonus, tracked independently. Unused chances never stack and never carry over, so there's no reason to save one for a bigger pack. After you use it, that tier shows only the permanent gift until the next reset.
When HoYoverse resets the bonus
The reset rides along with the anniversary version update. v1.0 (Sept 28, 2020) introduced the bonus; resets landed in v2.1 (Sept 1, 2021), v3.1 (Sept 28, 2022), v4.1 (Sept 27, 2023), v5.0 (Aug 28, 2025), and Luna I (Sept 10, 2025). The next reset is expected around September 23 alongside version 7.1 — no official notice exists yet, so open the top-up screen and confirm before you spend. Tiers whose bonus you already used will show the double again once the reset lands.
Before buying after a reset, do three things: note which tiers still show the bonus, verify UID and server, and read the live checkout total. Old screenshots lie.
Turning crystals into Fates without waste
Exchange steps

- Open Paimon's Menu and go to Shop.
- Swap crystals for Primogems at 1:1 on the exchange screen.
- Spend the Primogems on Fates from the Wish screen or Paimon's Bargains.
Do the conversion right before you pull. Leaving a pile of Primogems sitting there is how people accidentally burn them on an Original Resin refill.
Intertwined vs Acquaint Fate
Acquaint Fates go to the Standard Banner, which has no rate-ups — spending there is the most common way to waste a top up. Limited character banners want Intertwined Fates. If you're pulling for a specific character, you need the purple Fates.
For an order placed outside the game, buffget lets you buy genesis crystals by uid and server without ever handing over a password, and delivery goes to the account you name.
What a 5-star character really costs
Base 5-star rate is 0.6% per Wish. Soft pity starts around Wish 74 (about 6%, climbing to roughly 32% by Wish 80), hard pity is Wish 90, and the median 5-star arrives at Wish 77 — 12,320 Primogems. Budget 75-80 Wishes per 5-star; fewer than 2% of players ever see double hard pity.
Hard pity vs soft pity math

Ninety Wishes is 14,400 Primogems. At first-time rates that's about $111; at standard rates roughly $222. Losing the 50/50 doubles the worst case to 180 Wishes and 28,800 Primogems, landing around $200-$350 depending on how you buy. Pity carries across limited character banners indefinitely and resets the moment any 5-star appears. Walking in with 60 pity already built means only 15-30 more Wishes — check before you top up so you don't buy past it.
Cheaper ways to earn the same Wishes
Welkin pays 300 crystals up front plus 90 Primogems a day for 30 days: 3,000 Primogems for $4.99, about 18.75 Wishes at roughly $0.27 each, or ~601 Primogems per dollar against the 65-81 you get from bundles. Roughly seven times the value, and the only cost is logging in.
Welkin Moon cost per Wish
Stack it up to 180 days; anything past that refunds 330 Genesis Crystals instead of adding time. Each missed day permanently forfeits that day's payout — there's no catch-up. Below Adventure Rank 5 the remaining-day counter stays hidden, so don't panic on a new account.
Gnostic Hymn value
$9.99 buys 680 Primogems plus 4 Intertwined and 4 Acquaint Fates — roughly 1,320 Primogems or 8.25 Wishes, 132 per dollar. Better than crystals, worse than Welkin. Buy it for the materials and the weapon; treat the Fates as a bonus.
Free Primogem income per patch
Version 6.3 ran 41 days and paid 11,060-13,160 Primogems (69-82 Wishes) from daily commissions, events, and Spiral Abyss — 600 per full clear of floors 9-12. Add two Welkins and a Battle Pass for $15-30 and you get another 7,320 paid Primogems, putting a light spender at 114-129 Wishes per version.
Buying safely at the right price
Platform and regional price differences
PC, iOS, and Android share one account, but the in-game shop routes each purchase through that platform's own payment system — which is why an iPhone total can look different from a PC total for an identical crystal count. PlayStation crystals stay console-locked; convert them to Primogems to spend them elsewhere. PSN linking is permanent the first time you launch on PS4 or PS5.
Currency swings are real: Ukrainian Hryvnia and Turkish Lira reach 160% of USD value, JPY and VND sit at 115-122%, and GBP, PLN, and MXN fall to 75-80%. VAT or sales tax moves the final figure on top of that.
Tax, currency and safe habits
Legitimate top-ups ask for a UID and a server. Nothing else. If a site wants your password, close the tab. Purchases to the wrong UID or server can't be reversed, so copy the ID from the profile button top-left in Paimon's Menu — under your avatar or bottom-right — and read it back before you pay. Turn on two-factor authentication, and never use a VPN to chase a cheaper region; that violates HoYoverse's Terms of Service and risks suspension.
The official flow is short: log in, confirm UID and server, select the package, pay. Crystals normally credit within 5-15 minutes, and HoYoverse's web top-up center matches in-game prices — its occasional web events even add 10-40% bonus crystals. If you'd rather shop outside the game, buffget offers competitive pricing, fast delivery, and responsive support, and it never needs your login.
Two things wreck accounts: a refund after you've already spent, which creates a negative Primogem balance you must clear within a week, and a chargeback raised without contacting support first, which is what typically triggers an immediate ban.
When a top up is worth it
Varka arrives February 25, 2026 in version 6.4, and pity transfers over from the 6.3 banners — Columbina and Ineffa in Phase 1, Zibai and Neuvillette from February 3-24. If you've banked 60 pity already, a small top up for the last few pulls is a reasonable call.
Good reasons to buy now
You're 10-20 pulls short on a guaranteed character, the banner closes soon, and you've already counted the free income. C6 hunters face a worst case of 1,260 Wishes and $1,500-$2,000 — if that's the plan, buy during a double bonus cycle and use the $29.99 tier.
Reasons to wait
If the character is more than a version away, Welkin plus the free patch income covers most accounts without touching crystals. Waiting has a side benefit: your next purchase might land after a bonus reset, when every tier doubles again.
Questions players ask
How many Wishes is 6,480 Genesis Crystals?
About 81 on a first purchase of that tier, roughly half that on a repeat buy. The exact figure depends on whether the double bonus still applies to your account, so check the top-up screen before you pay rather than trusting an old guide.
Does the first-time double bonus reset in Genshin?
Yes, on a cycle tied to the game's anniversary, and every tier regains its bonus eligibility at the same time. The most recent reset arrived with an anniversary version update. HoYoverse hasn't announced the next one, so read the live in-game notice before spending.
How do I convert Genesis Crystals to Primogems?
It's manual: open Paimon's Menu, go to Shop, and use the exchange screen. The swap is one-to-one and the game never does it for you. Convert right before you pull so those Primogems don't get eaten by an Original Resin refill.
Is Welkin Moon better than buying Genesis Crystals?
For Primogem-per-dollar, comfortably. Welkin spreads its payout across daily logins, so it rewards patience rather than urgency. Crystal bundles only make sense when you need a large amount in one sitting — say, finishing a character before a banner closes.
Why is my top up price different on mobile?
Because the mobile storefront routes payment through Apple's or Google's own system, adding local tax handling and currency rounding. The crystal amount never changes. The PC client and the web top-up center usually show a cleaner total for the same pack.
Can I get banned for topping up through a third-party site?
Only if the service asks for your password, or if you reverse the charge without talking to support first. Legitimate sellers need just a UID and a server. Wherever you buy, raise any problem with the seller before your bank.
