MLBB Diamond Top-Up: Web Recharge Saves 10-20% vs In-App
Web recharge is 10-20% cheaper than in-app for Mobile Legends Bang Bang diamond top-up; the Weekly Diamond Pass is cheapest at $0.008 per Diamond.
Where your money goes the furthest
Web recharge is the cheaper route for Mobile Legends Bang Bang diamond top-up: third-party UID-based sites run 10-20% below store prices because Apple and Google take up to 30% commission. In-app only wins when you're spending gift-card balance, need instant credit, or want the store to handle refunds.
Two routes exist, and they aren't the same product. Web recharge means buying Diamonds on an outside top-up site that credits your account using only User ID and Zone ID — no password, no login. In-app means the Diamond Shop inside the game: tap the '+' beside your balance, pick a package, pay through Apple App Store or Google Play Billing.
That commission gap is why the two stores show different numbers for identical currency. Check live rates on mobile legends bang bang diamonds recharge online before committing to either route.
Price per diamond at each tier
Value is one division: total price ÷ total Diamonds received, bonus Diamonds included. Benchmark the result against the official in-app rate of $0.0198 per Diamond on the 50-pack.
| Route | Diamonds | Price (USD) | Per Diamond |
|---|---|---|---|
| In-app (US) | 50 | $0.99 | $0.0198 |
| In-app (US) | 250 | $4.99 | $0.0200 |
| In-app (US) | 1000 | $19.99 | $0.0200 |
| Web top-up | 86 | $1.18–$1.31 | $0.0137–$0.0152 |
| Web top-up | 257 | $3.55–$3.91 | $0.0138–$0.0152 |
| Web top-up | 706 | $9.40–$10.47 | $0.0133–$0.0148 |
| Web top-up | 2195 | $28.25–$31.39 | $0.0129–$0.0143 |
| Web top-up | 9288 | $117.50–$130.82 | $0.0126–$0.0141 |
| Weekly Diamond Pass | 220 | $1.59–$1.99 | $0.0081 |
The Weekly Diamond Pass is the cheapest row here at $0.0081 per Diamond, roughly 60% under the in-app 50-pack. Among raw Diamond packs the 9288 listing is lowest per unit, but you don't need that volume to beat the store — the 706-pack already lands at $0.0133–$0.0148.

Official web recharge rates make the same point without a reseller in the middle: 1160 Diamonds for $19.99, 1770 for $29.99, 2975 for $49.99, 4165 for $69.99, 6000 for $99.99. In-app at the same $19.99 gives 1000. Same money, 16% more Diamonds.
What the pass adds
The pass bundles Diamonds with Starlight Points. Building toward Starlight Member anyway? Those points are upside the store never gives you. Count only the Diamonds and the pass still wins.
Why the two stores show different numbers
Regional pricing
500 Diamonds cost $4.00–$4.50 in Malaysia and $7.50–$8.70 in the UAE — an 87% gap for the same tier that has nothing to do with seller markup.
App Store 1000-Diamond pricing spreads wider: Japan $16.91 is cheapest, Egypt $19.57, Argentina $19.99, Canada $20.19, South Korea $21.23, Brazil $21.39, UK $26.96, Germany $27.79 dearest — a 64% spread. Cheap storefronts like Egypt, Argentina, Pakistan, Brazil, Nigeria and Turkey demand a local billing address, local IP and gift cards, so switching regions isn't free.
Google Pay auto-converts currency at fluctuating rates and Apple may add a conversion fee. Your payment method never changes Diamond pricing; region, taxes and store commission do.
Taxes and payment fees
Local tax is baked into the sticker price: Japan 10%, Egypt 14%, Germany 19%, UK and Turkey 20%, Denmark 25%, Brazil ICMS 7–25%, Canada GST/HST 5–15%, Argentina 21% VAT plus a 30% PAIS surcharge.
Card fees land separately. Visa and Mastercard charge merchants 1.5–3.5%, your bank may add 2.5–3% foreign-transaction fees (premium cards often waive them), and international payments trigger 2–5 minutes of extra verification. iTunes and Google Play gift cards fund in-app purchases and stay valid 12 months.
What counts for events
Diamond top-ups count toward First Charge and recharge-event progress on both routes. The Weekly Diamond Pass behaves differently: buying one adds +100 to limited-time recharge-event task progress but does not count toward Recharge Benefits. If a reward is gated on Recharge Benefits, buy Diamonds.
What the Weekly Diamond Pass really gives you
Daily claim and missed days

80 Diamonds land instantly and 20 more arrive per daily login across 7 days — 220 total plus 210 Starlight Points. (The 2025 variant paid 100 instant and 20 daily for 6 days.) Price varies by platform and region — ₱94–105 in the Philippines, S$1.62 in Singapore — and your account needs Lv.5.
Claims reset at 00:00 server time. Miss a day and one Late Sign-in Card recovers it. Multiple passes stack days rather than doubling daily payouts, and max rewards cap at 7 Choice Bundles.
Stacking and limits
You can hold 10 passes at a time (subscriptions excluded), buy 5 per order, and you can't purchase while 70+ days remain. Auto-renewal is disableable in account settings.
For raw Diamonds without a week of logins, buy mlbb diamonds top up via UID on buffget — delivery is fast, pricing stays competitive against the store, and support responds if an order stalls.
Who should skip it
Need a skin tonight? The pass pays out over a week of logins and won't help. Skip it too if you can't sign in daily — unclaimed days are lost value. And 220 standalone Diamonds cost about $1.99, so the pass only wins if you actually claim.
Twilight Pass and Starlight Member answer different questions. Twilight Pass runs $8.52–$10.00 once per account and grants Twilight Coins, tickets, Eudora lv8 and Miya lv15 skins, recall effects and discounts — no raw Diamonds at all. Starlight Member needs a 300-Diamond top-up (700–750 for Plus) and unlocks a monthly exclusive skin, 4 selectable skins, an avatar border, emote, weekly free heroes, XP bonus and ban priority. If Diamonds-per-dollar is the goal, the pass wins; the other two are cosmetic plays.
Getting more from your first recharge
First-time buyers get a 100% bonus on each of the 50, 150, 250 and 500 tiers: $0.99 yields 100 Diamonds, $4.99 yields 500. It's once per tier, and it applies on web recharge too — so don't burn a tier on a tiny top-up you'll regret.
Buy before an event starts and you waste the +100 progress. The MLBB 10th Anniversary main event runs October 9 to mid-November 2026, with the Layla Collector skin free via event missions from October 9 and Diamonds needed only for optional extras. Hold your recharge until a Collector or Legend skin saving, a collaboration, or a double-reward promo is live.
When in-app is still the better call
Gift credit
Sitting on iTunes or Google Play credit? Spend it in-app. Web top-up sites generally can't touch that balance, and gift cards expire 12 months after activation.
Refunds and delivery
Apple accepts refund requests within 90 days through Report a Problem and resolves in 3–5 business days; Google Play auto-approves within 48 hours and pays out instantly to 7 days. Contact the store, not Moonton. In-app delivery is near-instant — Apple Pay 10–30 seconds, Google Play 30–60 seconds — while web top-up runs instant to 5 minutes, 20–30 minutes at peak, and up to 2 hours when Moonton servers are congested in the UTC+8 evening.
Where players quietly lose value
Wrong region, wrong account
One wrong UID digit sends Diamonds to a stranger, and Moonton can't revoke them — only the seller's support can refund or re-deliver. Region locks bite too: some web platforms reject US-registered accounts, global Diamond codes fail on Russian and Indonesian servers, and certain bonus packs exclude Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines.
There's also no direct Diamond transfer between accounts. In-game gifting covers only Skins, Starlight Pass and Weekly Diamond Pass; anything else means recharging a friend's account through their ML ID and Zone ID.
Counting bonus Diamonds early
Bonus Diamonds show as Total (Base + Bonus) — 1163 might be 1007 + 156 — so count them only when eligibility is visible at live checkout, not in a screenshot. Diamonds never expire once credited, but Promo Diamonds are temporary event currency that vanish when their event ends.
Checklist before you tap buy
Account and region:
- Tap the avatar top-left, open the Basic Info tab, read the User ID below your nickname in the format 12345678(1234), and screenshot it.

- Confirm the seller supports your server before paying.
- Read the live checkout total, not a cached screenshot.
- Confirm bonus eligibility at checkout.
- Buy the smallest package that covers your purchase.
Legitimate top-up needs only User ID and Zone ID — never your password. MLBB stores no card data; Apple Pay and Google Pay hold tokens rather than numbers. Pay only on HTTPS pages. Web options usually include PayPal, Visa/Mastercard, Google Pay, GrabPay, GCash, Paytm, ShopeePay and Touch 'n Go, with Smart Direct Carrier Billing in the Philippines.
Red flags worth walking away from:
- Prices 40%+ below official
- Any request for your login credentials
- Crypto-only payment with no refund policy
- Free Diamond generator claims — free Diamonds come only from official events, daily logins, missions and referrals
Pay by credit card or PayPal for chargeback protection, enable bank transaction notifications, and prefer credit over debit. If a payment declines, re-check card number, expiry, CVV and balance — banks often flag gaming purchases, so request pre-authorization. iOS also needs Screen Time in-app purchases allowed.
Missing Diamonds? Wait 15–30 minutes, restart MLBB, re-verify your UID against the checkout entry, confirm the order shows 'completed', and clear cache. Never place a duplicate order. After 2 hours, open a recharge ticket at support.mobilelegends.com with your receipt. Gift-card codes redeem at mobilelegends.com/redeem, and patch notes live on m.mobilelegends.com.
Before your next recharge, compare live rates on buffget and pick the route that gives you the most Diamonds for your budget.
FAQ
Is web recharge cheaper than in-app for MLBB diamonds?
Yes, in almost every case. Web top-ups skip the app-store commission, so the same budget returns more Diamonds. The exception is gift-card balance or wanting the store's refund process — then paying the in-app premium makes sense. Third-party UID sites also credit without asking for your login.
How many diamonds do you get from the Weekly Diamond Pass?
220 total plus 210 Starlight Points. A chunk lands instantly and the rest arrives in daily claims that reset at server midnight. One Late Sign-in Card covers a missed day, and stacked passes extend the claim window rather than adding extra daily rewards. Your account needs Lv.5.
Do Weekly Diamond Pass diamonds count for recharge events?
A pass purchase bumps limited-time recharge-event task progress, but it doesn't count toward Recharge Benefits. If a reward is gated on Recharge Benefits, buy Diamonds instead. The two counters aren't interchangeable, so check the event's task list before spending — the pass won't unlock that reward.
Why are diamond prices different on web and in the app?
Pricing is set per region, not per currency. Local taxes, app-store commission and currency conversion all sit between Moonton's base rate and your checkout total. The same tier can cost noticeably more in a high-tax storefront than in a low-tax one.
Can I use my app store balance to buy MLBB diamonds?
Yes. iTunes and Google Play gift-card credit funds in-app Diamond purchases like any other payment method, and the balance stays usable for 12 months. It won't work on web top-up sites, though — those need a card, PayPal or a local e-wallet.
Is it safe to top up MLBB diamonds on the web?
It is, if the site asks only for User ID and Zone ID and the page runs over HTTPS. Never hand over your password — Moonton's terms prohibit credential sharing, and login-based delivery risks a suspension. Skip sellers demanding crypto-only payment or promising free Diamonds.
