If you refund, charge back or dispute a PUBG Mobile UC purchase, the official rule is simple: UC and items "obtained via illegal means" can be confiscated and the account can be banned. No official PUBG Mobile page I checked on 2026-11-06 says how much UC you must buy back to get unlocked.
I went looking for that number because players keep asking for it. On Reddit and YouTube, the answers contradict each other: "buy the same amount again", "just get the balance back to zero", "it's permanent". So I went back to the official texts: the 2021 refund-abuse notice, the current End User License Agreement and the PUBG Mobile Help Center. I put what they say next to what players claim, and marked which claims hold up.
This isn't legal advice, and I can't tell you whether a specific locked account will come back. What I can show you is what's written down, what isn't, and the steps that give you the best chance.
The 60-second answer
| Question | Answer (checked 2026-11-06) | Source |
|---|---|---|
| What can happen after refund abuse? | "Confiscate all game currencies and items obtained via illegal means" and "banning the account of violators" | pubgmobile.com notice, 2021-06-03 |
| Does it cover unofficial top-ups too? | Yes. The same notice lists "unauthorized third-party purchases" next to refund abuse | Same notice |
| Are UC purchases refundable? | Not normally. Section 10 of the EULA says Game Currency is not refundable, subject to local law and App Store policy | EULA (GBR version), last updated 2026-03-17 |
| Can they remove UC if they suspect fraud? | Yes. Section 9(b): they "may cancel, revoke, or otherwise prevent the use of" Game Currency on suspected unauthorized or fraudulent activity | Same EULA |
| Is there an official refund route? | Help Center: refunds "only available for purchases made within 7 days", unopened and unused, via PUBG Mobile Support | PUBG Mobile Help Center |
| UK, EU and Brazil? | A 14-day right of cancellation for Virtual Goods and Game Currency, by contacting support | EULA Schedule A-1, Exhibit 1 |
| How much UC unlocks a banned account? | No official number. Not in the notice, the EULA or the Help Center | All three, read 2026-11-06 |
| What's the next official date? | Version 4.7 on 11/12, per the official X account | x.com/PUBGMOBILE, 2026-11-01 |
Refund, chargeback, bank dispute: three different things
Players use these words as if they mean the same thing. They don't, and the difference matters.
| Term | Who starts it | Who decides | What the official texts say |
|---|---|---|---|
| Refund request | You, through PUBG Mobile Support or the store's own refund process | The game's support team or the store | Allowed within 7 days for unopened, unused products (Help Center). UK/EU/Brazil: 14-day cancellation right (EULA Schedule A-1) |
| Chargeback | You or the cardholder, through the bank, after the payment went through | The card network and the bank | No clause names "chargeback". Section 9(b) lets them revoke currency on suspected unauthorized or fraudulent activity |
| Bank dispute / "fraud" report | The cardholder tells the bank the charge wasn't theirs | The bank | Same as above. The 2021 notice calls it "refund abuse" when it's misused |
The pattern is the same in both directions. A refund that goes through the official route takes back what you bought. Money pulled back around that route, through a bank, is the case the 2021 notice was written for.
What the official texts actually say
1. The 2021 notice: "Unauthorized Third-Party Purchases and Refund Abuse"
PUBG Mobile posted this notice on pubgmobile.com on 2021-06-03 (timestamped 16:42:09 on the page). It's still online. Here's what it lists, word for word:
| # | Official wording | What it means for you |
|---|---|---|
| Scope | "heavier punishments against unauthorized third-party purchases, refund abuse, and other associated user agreement violations" | Refund abuse and unauthorized top-ups are treated together |
| 1 | "Confiscate all game currencies and items obtained via illegal means." | The UC (and anything bought with it) can be taken back |
| 2 | "Banning the account of violators and taking other necessary measures." | A ban is on the table, not just a UC deduction |
| Repeat cases | "in cases where there are multiple violations detected, the game account involved will be treated with heavier ban punishments" | Doing it twice is worse than once |
| Contact | "you are welcomed to contact the Customer Service Team" | The official next step is support, not a YouTube trick |
Notice what's missing. There's no deduction formula, no "repay X UC to unlock" rule, and no timeline. The punishments are "not limited to" the two listed.
Read the official notice on pubgmobile.com (dated 2021-06-03, read 2026-11-06).
2. The EULA: three sections that matter
The current End User License Agreement (the GBR version I read was last updated 2026-03-17) has the actual contract terms. Here's what it says, in short:
| Section | What it says (quoted or summarized) | Why it matters after a refund |
|---|---|---|
| §9(b) Your license | Game Currency is "licensed, not sold". They "may cancel, revoke, or otherwise prevent the use of" it "if we suspect any unauthorized or fraudulent activity" | Removing UC after a reversed payment fits inside this |
| §10 Refunds | Subject to applicable law or App Store policy, Game Currency is "not redeemable, refundable, or eligible for any other alternate remedy", unless defective, unavailable or not working as described | The default is no refund. Exceptions come from local law or the store |
| §21 Termination | They may "suspend, modify or terminate" access if you breach the EULA. Except where law requires, "all payments and fees are non-refundable under all circumstances" | A ban doesn't come with money back |
| Schedule A-1, Exhibit 1 (EU, UK, Brazil) | "a legal right to cancel your purchase of Virtual Goods and/or Game Currency within 14 days without giving any reason", by contacting support. If you cancel, they "remove the Virtual Goods or Game Currency" and repay within 14 days | If you live there, this is the legal, official way out. Use it instead of a bank dispute |

3. The Help Center: the official refund route
PUBG Mobile's Help Center (pubgmobile.helpshift.com) has a "How do I request a refund?" page. Here's what it says:
- "Refunds are only available for purchases made within 7 days."
- "Products that have been opened or used are not eligible for refunds."
- For Google Play: send PUBG Mobile Support your character name, purchase date, item name and price, Google Play account and Google Play purchase number.
- For Galaxy Apps: the same, with your Galaxy Apps account and transaction number.
- "Include a clear explanation of why you need the refund."
The Help Center doesn't list an iOS route. The EULA says refunds are "subject to... App Store policy", so for iPhone purchases you deal with Apple's own refund process.
What players claim, and how it checks out
The question everyone wants answered is "how much do I have to pay to get unbanned?" Here are the common answers on r/PUBGMobile and YouTube, checked against the official texts.
| Player claim | Where it shows up | Official text | Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|
| "Buy back the same amount of UC and the ban lifts" | Reddit comments, YouTube how-to videos | No repayment amount anywhere in the notice, EULA or Help Center | Unverified. One Reddit poster (2025-08-30) says they repurchased more than the disputed amount and stayed locked |
| "Your UC balance just has to get back to zero" | Reddit comments | Not described. The EULA lets them revoke currency but doesn't explain a negative balance | Unverified. Plausible, but no official wording |
| "It's permanent, nothing you can do" | Reddit comments | The notice says "banning" and "heavier ban punishments" for repeats. It doesn't say every case is permanent | Unverified both ways. Outcomes seem to depend on the case |
| "A Google Play refund locks future top-ups" | Reddit thread "How to get a uc refund" (2026-09-15, 16 comments) | Not stated as a rule. The EULA does allow restricting features after a breach | Single-source warnings. Treat as a risk, not a rule |
| "Someone else's chargeback can't hurt my account" | Common assumption | EULA §5: "You are responsible for all activities that occur under your Game Account, whether or not you know about them" | False on paper. The account holder carries it |
The case that shows the gap
The clearest example is a 2025-08-30 r/PUBGMobile post titled "Paid refunded UC but ban isn't lifted. Please help". The poster says they bought 27,000 UC on their wife's card in July. She thought the charges were fraud and reclaimed the money, so the UC was reversed. They say they then bought back "almost more UC than I bought through Midasbuy" and got "UC deficit" messages. They still couldn't play, and some assets stayed frozen.
The comments split three ways: buy the same amount, fill the negative balance, or accept it's permanent. That's the whole problem. Nobody can point to an official rule, because no official text I found has one.
What to do: three situations
A. You're about to file a refund or dispute
- Stop before you call the bank. A bank reversal is the route the 2021 notice punishes.
- Check the 7-day window. If the purchase is under 7 days old and unused, contact PUBG Mobile Support with the details the Help Center asks for.
- UK, EU or Brazil? Use the 14-day cancellation right in EULA Schedule A-1. Contact support and state clearly that you're cancelling. The form in the EULA is optional.
- Bought on iPhone? Go through Apple's refund process, which the EULA defers to. Don't stack a bank dispute on top.
- Expect the UC to go. Any successful refund or cancellation removes the UC, and anything you bought with it may go too.
B. A family member's card was disputed as "fraud", but it was you
- Talk to the cardholder first. They're the only one who can tell the bank the charge was authorized. Ask the bank what that means for an open dispute.
- Collect receipts. Get the store order number, date, time and amount for every disputed charge.
- Open an in-game Customer Center ticket. Include your UID, the dates and the order numbers, and explain who made the purchase.
- Don't buy UC blindly to "fix" it. The Reddit case above shows repurchasing doesn't guarantee an unlock. Ask support what's owed before you spend.
C. Your account is already locked after a reversal
- Read the in-game message word for word. Screenshot it, including any "deficit" figure it shows.
- Use the Customer Center, not a third-party "unban service". The official notice points to Customer Service. Nothing official mentions paid unban services.
- Ask two questions in writing: what exact amount (if any) is owed, and whether paying it lifts the restriction.
- Keep everything in one ticket. Multiple tickets with different stories slow things down.
- Don't do it again. The notice says repeat violations get "heavier ban punishments".
Know what you paid for before you dispute anything
A lot of disputes start with "I don't recognize this charge". Two things on store receipts cause that.
Store listings show base UC only
The US App Store lists PUBG Mobile UC by base amount only. There's no bonus in the item name. The top pack is listed as "6000 Unknown Cash" at $99.99, not a bigger number. Whatever bonus the in-game shop shows isn't on Apple's receipt line, so don't use the store name to argue about what you received.
| Item name on App Store | US price | UK price |
|---|---|---|
| 60 Unknown Cash | $0.99 | £0.99 |
| 180 Unknown Cash | $2.99 | — |
| 300 Unknown Cash | $4.99 | £4.99 |
| 600 Unknown Cash | $9.99 | £9.99 |
| 1500 Unknown Cash | $24.99 | £24.99 |
| 3000 Unknown Cash | $49.99 | £49.99 |
| 6000 Unknown Cash | $99.99 | £99.99 |

Subscriptions renew on their own
Monthly subscriptions are a classic "what is this charge?" moment. On the App Store, PUBGM Prime (1 month) is $0.99 in the US and £0.99 in the UK. PUBGM PrimePlus (1 month) is $9.99 in the US but £9.49 in the UK. The two currencies aren't just converted from each other (App Store, 2026-11-06). If a monthly line surprises you, cancel the subscription in your store settings. Don't dispute it with the bank.
Top-up listings that include bonus in the name
On the Buffget PUBG Mobile UC (Global) page, the item names include the bonus. The page also says it isn't for the Japanese, Korean, Taiwan or Vietnam servers. Prices on 2026-11-06:
| Package (as named on the page) | Page price (USD) |
|---|---|
| 60 UC | $0.94 |
| 300 + 25 UC | $4.62 |
| 600 + 60 UC | $9.34 |
| 1500 + 300 UC | $23.34 |
| 3000 + 850 UC | $46.68 |
| 6000 + 2100 UC | $93.35 |

Whichever channel you use, the advice is the same: keep the order number. It's the first thing support asks for in a refund request or a missing-UC ticket.
What's coming up (one date)
The official PUBG MOBILE account on X says version 4.7 arrives on 11/12 (post dated 2026-11-01). The official Activity Perks video says free rewards start on 11/11, and its date card shows the new season on 11/13. New seasons mean more spending, so it's a good time to check your subscriptions and receipts.

FAQ
How much UC do I have to buy to get unbanned after a chargeback?
No official PUBG Mobile text gives an amount. The 2021 notice and the EULA describe confiscation and bans, not a repayment formula. Ask the in-game Customer Center in writing before you spend anything.
Will a refund through official support get me banned?
The 2021 notice targets "refund abuse". The Help Center itself offers a 7-day refund route for unopened, unused purchases. Going through that route is different from reversing money through a bank. Either way, the refunded UC is removed.
Does the returning-player UC rebate start from zero?
No. In the in-game "Returning Player Purchase Rebate Bonus" panel, buying 60 UC reads "Get up to 60–1200 bonus UC", and buying 300 UC reads "Get up to 120–6000 bonus UC". So the minimum is 60 or 120, not 0. That event window ended 2026/01/25 20:58 (UTC+0), so check your own panel for the current version. What decides who gets the offer, and the odds inside each range, hasn't been published by PUBG Mobile. Don't plan around the top number.
VIDEO "Returning Player UC Bonus…" — SilentStriker, YouTube, 2026-01-08. Rebate panel at 0:04–0:06, claimed rewards at 0:08 and 0:12–0:13.
I paid but the UC didn't arrive. What now?
Here's what the Help Center says to do:
- Wait 10–30 minutes. "Due to server latency, it may take 10 to 30 minutes."
- Fully close and restart the game, then check again.
- Look in your holdings, mailbox and inventory. Depending on the item, it can land in any of them.
- Find the receipt from your payment method or its email, or the store's customer center.
- Contact the in-game Customer Center with the payment date and time, your UID and the item name.
Don't file a bank dispute for a late delivery. If the UC turns up after the reversal, you're in the refund-abuse situation this article is about.
I see a $1 charge I didn't make. Is that a UC purchase?
Probably not. The Help Center says Google Play and the App Store can place "a temporary authorization charge of 1 USD" to verify a payment method. Check your order history before you dispute anything.
Why are iOS and Android prices different?
The Help Center says it's "due to each market's policies". Compare the price in your own store before you assume you were overcharged.
Is a top-up site an "unofficial channel"?
The 2021 notice says PUBG Mobile "never authorizes any individual or third-party platform to perform intermediary purchases" and lists official purchase methods as the safe route. Buffget's product page describes itself as an "Official Midasbuy Partner" and asks only for your Player ID. Whichever route you use, enter the Player ID carefully and keep the order number.
Can someone else's chargeback affect my account?
Yes, on paper. EULA §5 makes you responsible for all activity on your Game Account "whether or not you know about them". If someone else paid for your UC, settle it with them before anyone calls a bank.
Is the Elite Pass refundable?
The Help Center's general rule applies: "Products that have been opened or used are not eligible for refunds." Check the price on your own pass screen before you buy, because a pass you've opened can't be undone through the refund route.
Bottom line
A refund, chargeback or bank dispute on UC isn't a free undo. Officially, PUBG Mobile can confiscate the UC and items, ban the account, and punish repeat cases harder. No official text says how much UC buys an unlock, so any video giving one number is guessing. If you need your money back, use the 7-day Help Center route, the 14-day cancellation right in the UK, EU and Brazil, or your store's refund process. Keep every receipt. If you're already locked, ask support in writing what's owed before you spend anything. When you top up again, pick a PUBG Mobile UC package you won't need to reverse.
