Where Winds Meet Echo Beads Top Up: ID Steps & Rates
Where Winds Meet Echo Beads top up: find your Character ID, pick a pack at the 60 beads per $1 base rate, and beads land in your mailbox in minutes.
What Echo Beads actually do
A Where Winds Meet Echo Beads top up needs one thing from you — your Character ID. Grab it from the in-game profile screen, pick a pack, pay, and the beads land in your mailbox within minutes. Everything after that is arithmetic.
Echo Beads and other currencies
Echo Beads are the only currency you buy with real money, and the gacha is cosmetic-only: bead purchases grant no weapons, skills, or stat boosts. Echo Jade is the semi-premium currency you earn by playing — 160 Jade buys one Resonating Melody on the Solemn Echo banner, so you can build pity without spending. Tael, Star Dust, Copper Coins and Merit cover regular vendors; the premium shop and Celestial Echo banner run on beads.
What costs beads
Everything cosmetic runs on beads: Outfit Sets 60–2,580, Mount Skins 60–1,280, Weapon Skins 60–680, Skill Effects 1,280, Accessories 60, Convenience Items 5–1,280. A Transformation Pill — the gender switch — costs 1,280, and post-creation face changes need a Water Lady Script. If you want every denomination listed with a character check before payment, buffget's Where Winds Meet Echo Beads top up page keeps them in one place.
Celestial Echo pulls cost 160 beads at current listings; an early-2026 spending guide put the Lingering Melody premium pull currency at 200 beads. Both pools share one 150-pull pity counter guaranteeing a Legendary Cloud Garment, against a 0.0415% base drop rate for outfits and mounts.
Getting your Character ID
Log in, then press ESC on PC — the Character ID is printed on the screen that opens. On mobile, tap your avatar to open the profile interface, then copy the Player ID.

Top-up stays locked until you reach level 5, roughly 30–60 minutes into your first hours in the Nine States. The in-game purchase route is Main Menu (ESC) → Shop → Top Up.
Typing it right
A UID top-up asks for the Character ID and nothing else. A login-based top-up asks for more: your login method (NetEase, Google, Facebook, Steam, Epic, or X), your account password, and your Character Digital ID. Know which flow you're using before you hand anything over.
Each account holds exactly one character and there's no in-game deletion option, so a mistyped ID doesn't just fail — it can send beads to a stranger's account. There's no way to hide the on-screen ID (none existed as of December 12, 2025); it stays visible in photo mode with the UI hidden.
The recharge flow
Write down the Character ID and server name before any payment screen opens — both sit on the same ESC screen.
- Note your Character ID and server name via ESC.
- Select the denomination.
- Enter the Character ID and the server.
- Complete the payment.

Third-party payment support generally covers Visa, MasterCard, and PayPal. UID top-up covers PC and Mobile on the International Server. PS5 isn't supported — use the PlayStation Store instead. NetEase Client accounts must bind first, and HK/TW/MO servers run the Longease Client.
Confirming and paying
Before money moves, the service should confirm the character name and server behind your ID. That check is the safety mechanism — it stops a typo from becoming an expensive gift to a stranger.
Login-based flow: send the login method, credentials, and Character Digital ID to customer service after paying, and hand over the verification code immediately if one triggers. Support completes the purchase, logs out, clears all login history, and notifies you. Change your password right after.
Don't log into the game while a top-up is processing — a simultaneous Steam or Epic login triggers security prompts and interrupts delivery.
Confirming beads landed
Beads arrive in the in-game mailbox: 5 to 10 minutes is typical, 30 minutes is the stated maximum, and support will take a ticket after 15. Confirm the balance under Shop → Top Up.
Beads per dollar
Take the 600-bead pack at $9.99 and divide: 600 ÷ 9.99 ≈ 60 beads per dollar. That's the base rate — 60 Echo Beads per $1 USD — and any pack beating it hands you bonus beads.
The formula is total beads received ÷ pack price = beads per dollar. Run it in your own currency and you'll know whether a regional price is fair. 300 beads at S$6.03 works out to roughly 49.8 beads per SGD, well under the baseline, because the sticker price moved and the rate didn't.
Bonuses stack additively, not multiplicatively: 15% + 15% is 30%, not 32.25%. First-time bonuses already add 10–20% extra beads, so a sale banner on top raises that percentage instead of compounding it.
Pack sizes and rates
Bonus beads kick in at the 300 tier. The 180 tier has none, and no bonus is listed for the 60 or 900 tiers — those three sit at the raw rate. Nine USD denominations launched November 14, 2025:
| Beads | Price (USD) | Bonus beads | Total beads |
|---|---|---|---|
| 60 | $0.99 | not listed | 60 |
| 180 | $2.99 | none | 180 |
| 300 | $4.99 | +30 | 330 |
| 600 | $9.99 | +68 | 668 |
| 900 | $14.99 | not listed | 900 |
| 1,800 | $29.99 | +268 | 2,068 |
| 3,000 | $49.99 | +458 | 3,458 |
| 6,000 | $99.99 | +1,200 | 7,200 |
| 12,000 | $199.99 | +2,400 | 14,400 |
Divide the last column by the price and the 6,000 and 12,000 rows tie as the cheapest at $0.0139 per bead with a 20% bonus. The 1,800 row is the best mid-range buy at $0.0144. The 180-bead row runs $0.0166 per bead, and the 900 row with no listed bonus barely clears the base rate.
Regional pricing
Europe pays €0.88 for the smallest tier against $0.99 in the US. Southeast Asia swings wider: 900 beads at S$17.91–19.47 and 12,000 at S$237.61–258.27 depending on the seller, while the 3,000-bead pack stays a constant $49.99 across channels. The 900-bead pack is exactly $14.99 on PlayStation Store versus $14.64–14.99 elsewhere.
Region also decides the currency itself. Global and ASIA servers use Echo Beads; the CN server uses 长鸣珠 with no 60 or 900 tiers but a CN-only 1,000 tier. Don't bridge that with a VPN — region manipulation violates the terms of service and risks suspension or a permanent ban, and payment processors require billing addresses that match your account region.
If you'd rather see the rate against your own server before paying, buffget's Echo Beads recharge by character ID flow checks the character first, with competitive pricing and fast delivery behind it.
First-purchase bonus and deals
Don't spend the one-time bonus on the smallest row in the table.
The first purchase adds Echo Jades matching the tier — the $0.99 pack gives 60 beads plus 60 Jades, the $4.99 pack gives 300 beads, 300 Jades and 30 bonus beads — once per account, on top of the standard bonus beads. PlayStation's own 60-bead listing adds 60 Echo Jades on first purchase too.

One catch: a first-time recharge through a login-based third-party top-up does not activate the First Recharge Double Bonus. If that bonus matters, use a UID flow or the official store for the first purchase.
Sale windows worth waiting for: Lunar New Year (late January to mid February) runs bonus bead events, the mid-year anniversary around May 2026 doubles first-time bonuses, and year-end (November–December 2026) runs tiered spend events.
Monthly Pass and Battle Pass math
The Monthly Pass at $4.99 (observed $4.94–6.04) pays 300 beads instantly, 100 Echo Jade daily for 30 days — 3,000 Jades — plus one Lingering Melody after 20 days, and stacks up to 6 times. Miss 10 logins and you collect only 2,000 of those Jades.
Battle Pass splits in two: Elite at $9.71–12.91 returns 500–800 beads with cosmetics, Premium at $19.42–25.83 returns 1,200–1,500 with exclusive cosmetics.
Spend order: activate the Monthly Pass first, bank Lingering Melodies for Celestial Echo legendary banners, buy Appearances-shop cosmetics outright to skip RNG, then finish Special Pathway pools. On a $15–16 budget, Monthly Pass plus the 600-bead bundle yields 968 beads plus daily rewards. Chasing 2,000 beads through the 6,000 or 12,000 bundles wastes $70–170 versus $30 for the 1,800.
A guaranteed Legendary costs 24,000 beads at the current pull price, and spending guides estimate up to 30,000 — around $500 at the top end. Harmonic Cores drop at 0.747%, roughly one per 134 pulls, and two Cores trade for one outfit or mount in the rotating Draw Shop (about 268 pulls, about $893).
Mistakes that cost money
Wrong UID or wrong region
Everstone Studio and NetEase Games launched Where Winds Meet free-to-play on PC and PS5 in November 2025, with mobile following in December under cross-progression — but cross-progression doesn't carry currency. Beads bought on PlayStation can't move to Steam and are unrecoverable on a new platform or account. A mistyped UID can't be undone in-game.
Buying before the tutorial
Top-up unlocks at level 5. Order before that and you've paid for a delivery you can't verify.
Fake top-up sites
A UID top-up needs only your Character ID. If a site demands your password with no character verification and no documented support flow, close the tab. Keep the receipt either way.
If beads never showed up
Check the in-game mailbox first, then the balance under Shop → Top Up, before contacting anyone. One verified PlayStation review dated December 21, 2025 reports beads that never reached the account — rare, but real.
Third-party marketplaces guarantee delivery or a full refund, which is the reason to buy through one. For account-level problems, NetEase support is wherewindsmeet@global.netease.com. Keep the receipt — support asks for it before they'll investigate.
FAQ
How do I top up Echo Beads in Where Winds Meet?
You need three things ready: an account that has cleared the tutorial, your Character ID, and the server name. Pick a denomination, enter the ID and server, pay, and the currency lands in your mailbox. The step-by-step menu path is in the recharge section above.
Where do I find my Character ID?
Open the game and press ESC on desktop, or tap your avatar on mobile to reach the profile interface. The ID sits on that screen — mobile has a copy button for the Player ID. There's no option to hide it, so treat screenshots carefully.
Is it safe to enter my Character ID on a top-up site?
The ID alone can't drain your account — it identifies the character, not the login. Danger starts when a site asks for your password outside a documented support flow. Use services that verify the character and server before charging you, and change your password after any login-based purchase.
Can I top up on the wrong server by mistake?
Yes, and it isn't fixable in-game. Purchases don't transfer between platforms or accounts, and there's no character deletion to start over. Read the server name off the same screen as your ID before you pay, and never use a VPN to shop another region's prices.
How long does Echo Beads delivery take?
Most deliveries land in the in-game mailbox within minutes. If nothing shows up after a quarter of an hour, check your balance under the shop's top-up screen and contact support with your receipt — don't log in repeatedly while a delivery is still processing.
Can I get a refund?
Third-party marketplaces typically guarantee delivery or a full refund, so a failed top-up there ends in your favor. Official store purchases follow the platform's own refund policy instead, which varies by storefront. Keep the receipt either way — support will ask for it before they'll investigate.
