I've topped up on Bigo more times than I'd like to admit, and the thing that still catches people isn't the price. It's the diamond count next to the price. Today I pulled the in-app purchase lists from five App Store regions, put every listing side by side, and then went after the two questions players keep asking that nobody answers well: what a stack of diamonds really costs in dollars, and what actually happens when you try to cash out beans.
Everything below has a source and a date. Where Bigo hasn't published a number, I don't make one up.
The short version
Question | Answer (checked 2026-10-30) | Source |
|---|---|---|
Cheapest US App Store rate | 42.5 diamonds per $1 ($0.0235 each) on the 297/$6.99 and 850/$19.99 listings | App Store US, v6.55.0 |
Worst US App Store rate | 34.5 diamonds per $1 ($0.0290 each) on 10/$0.29 | Same |
Is "$0.0314 per diamond in-app" right? | Not on today's US App Store — no listing is that expensive | Same |
Same price, different counts? | Yes, in all five stores checked; widest gap +35% (Malaysia, RM4.90) | App Store US/UK/PH/MY/ID |
Buffget price | 100 diamonds for $1.97 ($0.0197 each), same rate on every pack | Buffget Bigo Live product page, 2026-10-30 |
How long do bean withdrawals take? | "typically three to seven business days" | bigo.tv earn-money guide, updated 2026-06-18 |
Diamonds missing after paying? | Wait 30 minutes, then Help & Feedback with your order details | Bigo Support Center, updated 2026-07-15 |
Why the $0.0314 number keeps showing up (and why I don't use it)
Search "Bigo Live diamond price" and you'll keep running into one figure: in-app diamonds supposedly cost about $0.0314 each, or 100 for $3.14. It gets repeated so often it looks official. I checked it against the real store today and it doesn't hold up.
Here's what Apple's US store lists for Bigo Live on 2026-10-30 (app version 6.55.0):
US App Store listing | Price | Diamonds per $1 | Cost per diamond |
|---|---|---|---|
10 diamonds | $0.29 | 34.5 | $0.0290 |
38 diamonds | $0.99 | 38.4 | $0.0261 |
42 diamonds | $0.99 | 42.4 | $0.0236 |
276 diamonds | $6.99 | 39.5 | $0.0253 |
297 diamonds | $6.99 | 42.5 | $0.0235 |
800 diamonds | $19.99 | 40.0 | $0.0250 |
850 diamonds | $19.99 | 42.5 | $0.0235 |
2,500 diamonds | $59.99 | 41.7 | $0.0240 |
4,193 diamonds | $99.99 | 41.9 | $0.0238 |
5,197 diamonds | $129.99 | 40.0 | $0.0250 |
Source: Apple App Store US, Bigo Live (id1077137248), "In-App Purchases" list, read 2026-10-30. Apple's page shows up to 10 listings, so the app itself may offer more.
The most expensive listing per diamond is the tiny 10-diamond one at $0.0290. Nothing reaches $0.0314.
So whenever you see a "save 40%+ versus in-app" claim, ask what in-app number it started from. If it started from $0.0314, the saving is inflated.

The thing nobody talks about: same price, different diamond counts
This is the part I haven't seen covered anywhere. In every App Store region I checked, one price point is listed with several different diamond counts. In the US, $0.99 buys either 38 or 42 diamonds. $6.99 buys 276 or 297. $19.99 buys 800 or 850.
Outside the US the spread gets much wider:
Store (2026-10-30) | Price | Diamond counts listed at that exact price | Extra diamonds, best vs worst |
|---|---|---|---|
Philippines | ₱49 | 33, 35, 38, 41, 42 | +27% |
United Kingdom | £0.99 | 35, 41, 42 | +20% |
Malaysia | RM4.90 | 31, 38, 41, 42 | +35% |
Malaysia | RM29.90 | 237, 275, 297 | +25% |
Malaysia | RM99.90 | 712, 850 | +19% |
United Kingdom | £19.99 | 768, 850 | +11% |
United States | $6.99 | 276, 297 | +8% |
United States | $19.99 | 800, 850 | +6% |
Indonesia | Rp399k | 800, 848, 850 | +6% |

Why does this happen?
Bigo hasn't explained it anywhere I could find, and I'm not going to guess on the record. What I can tell you is what the listings show: a store product is just a price plus a diamond count, and Bigo keeps several of them live at the same price. Which one the wallet shows you on a given day is decided inside the app.
What to actually do about it
Open the wallet and read the diamond number, not just the price. At ₱49, 33 versus 42 diamonds is a 27% difference for the same money.
If the count looks low, back out and reopen the wallet later. Don't assume the first listing you see is the only one.
Don't assume bigger packs are better value. In the US, the $129.99 listing (40.0 per $1) gives a worse rate than the $6.99 listing with 297 diamonds (42.5 per $1).
Compare per-dollar, not per-pack. Divide diamonds by price. Anything around 42–42.5 per $1 is the best the US App Store showed today.
Screenshot the listing before you pay. If the delivered count doesn't match, you've got proof for Help & Feedback.
What diamonds really cost in dollars
Players ask "how much is that in real money?" all the time on stream, and the usual answer is a guess. Gift menus rotate by region and event, so instead of a gift list that goes stale, here's the math for round diamond amounts at three real rates from today. Find the gift's diamond price in your own gift panel, then read across.
Diamonds | US App Store, best listing ($0.0235) | US App Store, 10-diamond listing ($0.0290) | Buffget ($0.0197) |
|---|---|---|---|
1 | $0.02 | $0.03 | $0.02 |
100 | $2.35 | $2.90 | $1.97 |
1,000 | $23.50 | $29.00 | $19.70 |
5,000 | $117.50 | $145.00 | $98.50 |
10,000 | $235.00 | $290.00 | $197.00 |
50,000 | $1,175.00 | $1,450.00 | $985.00 |
Rates: App Store US and the Buffget Bigo Live product page, both read 2026-10-30. Taxes excluded. Dollar figures are diamonds × rate.
How to price any gift yourself
Open the gift panel and note the gift's diamond price.
Multiply by your rate: $0.0235 if you buy the best US listing, $0.0290 on the 10-diamond listing, or your own rate (price ÷ diamonds on your receipt).
Multiply again by the quantity shortcut you tap (×10, ×99 and so on) — that's where budgets disappear.
Two quick takeaways:
The listing you pick matters more than people think. 50,000 diamonds bought through 10-diamond listings would cost $275 more than through the best US listing.
What the viewer pays isn't what the host gets. The gift turns into beans on the host's side, and that conversion is a separate set of rules — next section.
Where Buffget fits (and the comparison I won't make)
Our Bigo Live diamond top-up page sells 100 diamonds for $1.97, 500 for $9.85 and 1,000 for $19.69 — the same ~$0.0197 per diamond on every pack (read 2026-10-30). That's about 50.8 diamonds per $1.
Versus the US App Store's best listing (42.5 per $1), that's roughly 16% cheaper per diamond. Versus the 10-diamond listing, about 32% cheaper.
What I'm not going to do is compare it against Bigo's own web recharge. The "$1.96 per 100, +20% from 500" figures that float around come from community tracking, and Bigo's own recharge guide (bigo.tv, updated 2026-02-04) doesn't publish a price list. If those community numbers are right, the official web store with its bonus would beat us on larger packs. Check it yourself before you buy big.
Also ignore the big strike-through "discount" badge on the product page. It's measured against a list price, not against what you'd pay in the App Store. The honest comparison is the per-diamond table above.
How to top up safely (whichever channel you use)
Bigo's own guidance on recharge safety is short and worth following (Support Center, updated 2026-07-15):
Use an official recharge channel, and check that the URL is bigo.tv if you use the web.
Bigo "will never ask you to send money to an individual to release Diamonds, Beans, or a withdrawal."
On top of that, here's my own checklist:
Use your Bigo ID, never your password. A top-up seller only needs the ID. If anyone asks to log into your account, walk away.
Double-check the ID. A typo sends diamonds to a stranger.
Keep the receipt — order number, amount, currency and time with time zone.
Turn on a payment password in the wallet (more on that below).
This step-by-step video is a newer walkthrough of buying diamonds inside the app if you've never done it:

Diamonds didn't arrive?
A Google Play buyer in Indonesia reported a paid recharge that never landed (Play Store review, 2026-10-24) — it happens. Bigo's official process (Support Center, 2026-07-15):
Wait 30 minutes. Most recharges post quickly; Bigo asks you to wait this long first.
Go to Me → Help & Feedback → Feedback, and choose Recharge/Withdraw.
Include your BIGO ID, order number, receipt, purchase amount, transaction time, and a screenshot of your current balance.
Check My Feedback before sending a second ticket on the same issue.

Beans cash-out: what Bigo says, what it doesn't, and where players get stuck
This is the question I see most, by far. One X post from 2026-09-19 asking how to withdraw roughly $253 in gifts sitting in a wallet pulled about 79k views and 542 replies (@Aaron37651078 on X). Google Play reviews in late October say the same thing in different words: bean exchanges "keep waiting," and "recharge is fast, withdrawal takes days." That's a handful of reviews over two weeks, so treat it as a signal, not a statistic.
What Bigo officially says
From Bigo's own earn-money guide (bigo.tv, updated 2026-06-18):
Viewers buy diamonds → send gifts → gifts become beans in the host's wallet → beans are withdrawn as cash.
Go to Profile → Wallet, tap Withdraw, and check your balance against the minimum withdrawal — Bigo says to "check the app for the current requirement, as it may update over time."
Connect a payment method that's supported in your region.
Transfers "typically take three to seven business days depending on your method and region."
Verify your identity before the first withdrawal; unverified accounts may not be able to get paid.
What one user's wallet screen showed
A tutorial uploaded 2024-12-29 recorded the Beans tab of the wallet. Its "Exchange rules" block reads: "The maximum daily withdrawal amount is USD100, and users cannot withdraw any more on the day after withdrawing USD100." The same screen says beans can be exchanged for diamonds or for rewards, and that setting a password locks those exchanges to whoever knows it.

That's one account's screen, almost two years old. Limits can differ by account and region, and Bigo's page above says to check the app. So read the rules on your Beans tab before planning a big cash-out — but if you've got $253 waiting, a $100 daily cap would mean at least three days of withdrawals before processing time even starts.

The conversion rate question
Players keep asking how many beans equal $1 or how many beans make a diamond. Bigo's earn-money guide (updated 2026-06-18) doesn't publish a fixed rate; it sends you to the app. If you're a host, the only rate that counts is the one your wallet shows you at the moment of exchange. Screenshot it, along with the minimum and any daily limit, so you have a record if something changes before the payout lands.
Where cash-outs get stuck (and what to try)
Identity not verified. Bigo flags this as a reason payouts fail. Do it before your first withdrawal.
Payout method not supported in your region. Bigo's guide says to pick a method supported in your country. Philippine hosts often ask about GCash — this short guide walks through linking it:
VIDEO “How To Connect GCash To Bigo Live (2026) - Full Guide” — Watch & Learn Tutorials, YouTube, uploaded 2025-11-11. Short (51 s) guide for Philippine users linking GCash as a payout/payment method.
Below the minimum. The threshold is in the app, not on the web.
Daily cap hit. If your Beans tab shows a daily limit like the one in the GIF above, split your withdrawals across days.
Still pending after seven business days. Open Help & Feedback → Recharge/Withdraw with your BIGO ID, amount, request date and time with time zone, and a screenshot of Withdrawal History (Support Center).
Someone offers to "release" your beans for a fee. That's a scam. Bigo says it never asks you to send money to an individual for that.
Account safety: the hijack and ban questions
Two more things players ask about over and over, so they belong here.
Protect the wallet first
A Turkish user reported in August 2025 that their account was taken over through their phone number and they lost ₺1,500 plus diamonds (Şikayetvar complaint, 2025-08-13). It's one report, but it's cheap to prevent:
Set the wallet payment password. The wallet itself prompts "Set payment password to protect your account" (see the GIF above), and after that only someone who knows the password can exchange beans and diamonds.
Bind an email as a second way back in.
Never share a one-time code, even with someone claiming to be Bigo staff or an agency.
If you lose access: Account Appeal on the login screen, per Bigo's Support Center.
Banned or shadow-banned without a reason?
The top Google Play review on 2026-10-29 (247 thumbs-up) describes a 24-hour shadow ban that even an SVIP admin couldn't explain. Another, from 2026-10-26, describes a long-term player — Lv55, 18 months, over $2,000 spent — banned for 10 years after an 18-year-old walked through a scenery shot. These are individual reviews, but the frustration is clearly common.
Here's the official route (Support Center, updated 2026-07-15):
Use the appeal option shown in the app, or go through Help & Feedback.
Attach a screenshot of the restriction notice.
Explain clearly why you believe the decision should be reviewed.
Keep your case or appeal number, and follow it under Account Appeal → My Appeal.
Bigo says an appeal will be reviewed — not that it will be overturned. And it doesn't say anywhere what happens to unspent diamonds or beans on a banned account, so I won't either. My practical advice: don't stockpile. Top up close to when you plan to gift, and cash out beans regularly instead of letting a big balance sit.
FAQ
What's the cheapest way to buy Bigo diamonds on iPhone in the US? Inside the App Store, the 297/$6.99 and 850/$19.99 listings give the best rate today: 42.5 diamonds per $1 (App Store US, 2026-10-30). Buffget's ID top-up ($0.0197 each) is cheaper than any App Store listing.
Why did my friend get more diamonds than me for the same price? Bigo keeps several listings live at the same price — up to five in the Philippine store at ₱49. Check the diamond count, not just the price.
Is the bigger pack always better value? No. In the US, $129.99 for 5,197 (40.0 per $1) is worse than $6.99 for 297 (42.5 per $1).
How long do bean withdrawals take? Bigo says three to seven business days, depending on method and region (bigo.tv, 2026-06-18).
What's the minimum withdrawal? Bigo says to check the app, because it may change. Read it on your own Beans tab before you plan a withdrawal.
How many beans equal $1? Bigo doesn't publish a fixed rate on its site; its guide points you to the app. Use the rate your own wallet shows when you exchange.
My recharge didn't arrive. What now? Wait 30 minutes, then Help & Feedback → Recharge/Withdraw with your ID, order number, receipt, amount, time and a balance screenshot.
Does topping up by ID put my account at risk? Bigo's Support Center tells you to use official recharge channels and never pay an individual to release diamonds. Whatever channel you use, never share your password, and keep receipts.
My bottom line
Read the diamond count every time. Same price can mean up to 35% more or fewer diamonds, depending on the listing.
Forget $0.0314. Today's US App Store range is $0.0235–$0.0290.
Price gifts in dollars before big moments — 50,000 diamonds is over $1,100 at App Store rates.
Hosts: verify identity early, check your Beans tab's limits, and budget three to seven business days.
Lock your wallet with a payment password, and don't sit on big balances.
If you'd rather skip the listing lottery, you can buy Bigo diamonds by ID on Buffget at a flat rate on every pack — just compare it with your own wallet first.
