Lunite Top Up Cost in Wuthering Waves: 12,800 per 5-Star
Wuthering Waves Lunite top up: one hard-pity 5-star costs 12,800 Lunite (80 pulls); a guaranteed featured Resonator costs 25,600 Lunite. Here's the math.
What a guaranteed 5-star costs
One hard-pity 5-star needs 12,800 Lunite — 80 pulls at 160 apiece. The real worst case is 160 pulls (25,600 Lunite): the first 5-star can be the wrong one, and the counter resets after it. Budget against those two ceilings.
Hard pity is 80 pulls here, not 90. That gap is the most common miscalculation players carry over from other gachas, and it quietly wrecks budgets. 80 pulls buys a 5-star; 160 buys the Resonator printed on the banner, and only when the 50/50 goes against you once.
Where you buy the currency is a separate decision. The in-game Store is dependable but fixed at list price. Resellers compete against it — buffget's wuthering waves lunite top up online page lists competitive pricing, so you can cover an exact pull gap instead of buying a whole extra pack.
Count what the account already holds
Almost nobody starts from zero. Before spending, work out what's already there:
- Open Convene → select the banner → open History → count pulls since your last 5-star.
- Subtract Radiant Tides in your inventory — each is 160 Lunite you don't need.
- Subtract unconverted Astrite at the same rate.
- If a saved guarantee is in place (you lost the 50/50 last time), knock a full 80 pulls off the 160-pull ceiling.
A saved guarantee plus ten spare Tides can turn a $200 spend into a much smaller one. Skip this if the count is already written down.
Lunite, Astrite and the three Tides
Lunite is the currency you buy; Astrite is what the Convene menu spends. Lunite converts 1:1 into Astrite, and one pull costs 160 Astrite — so 160 Lunite is exactly one pull.
The pull items each have their own name:

- Radiant Tide — limited Character Event Convene
- Lustrous Tide — Standard and Novice banners
- Forging Tide — Weapon Event banner
Each costs 160 Astrite, and the banner you're on decides which is useful. Convert inside the shop menu, and keep Lunite unconverted until your target banner is live. Packs have no partial sizes and Lunite has no stated expiration, so rounding up to the next tier and holding the surplus costs nothing.
Lunite also buys Waveplate refills and EXP aid packs — Traveler's (150), Gardener's (225), Sage's (1,150), Blake Bloom's (1,400) — an easy way to burn a pity budget by accident.
Pity, soft pity and the 50/50
Base rates are 0.8% for a 5-star and 6% for a 4-star, with at least one 4-star guaranteed every 10 pulls on every banner. Soft pity does the rest: the official curve holds 0.8% until pull 65 and ramps to 100% by pull 79, while community estimates put the ramp somewhere in the 60–70 range. The realistic average lands near 70 pulls per 5-star, which is why planning at the ceiling overpays.
On the Character Event Convene, the first 5-star is a coin flip — 50% featured. Lose it and the next 5-star is guaranteed to be the featured Resonator, and that guarantee carries across banners of the same type and across versions. The pity counter itself resets to zero after any 5-star, guaranteed or not, and it doesn't expire after six months.
Cost at every pity stage
The table converts common pull counts at 160 Lunite a pull:
| Pulls | Lunite |
|---|---|
| 10 | 1,600 |
| 20 | 3,200 |
| 40 | 6,400 |
| 50 | 8,000 |
| 60 | 9,600 |
| 65 | 10,400 |
| 70 | 11,200 |
| 80 | 12,800 |
| 100 | 16,000 |
| 120 | 19,200 |
| 160 | 25,600 |
If you're budgeting rather than bracing, the 70-pull row is the honest planning line. The 80-pull row is what you should be able to pay, not what you should expect to pay. Anything beyond 160 is pure margin.
Which top-up pack fits the job
The Store sells six Lunite tiers, and every one of them is doubled on first purchase, once per tier per account:

| Price (USD) | Base Lunite | With first-time double |
|---|---|---|
| $0.99 | 60 | 120 |
| $4.99 | 300 | 600 |
| $14.99 | 980 | 1,960 |
| $29.99 | 1,980 | 3,960 |
| $49.99 | 3,280 | 6,560 |
| $99.99 | 6,480 | 12,960 |
At base rates, the 80-pull ceiling lands around $160 and the 160-pull guarantee around $320. First-time doubles change the picture: the top tier alone yields 12,960 Lunite — 81 pulls, one full pity from a single purchase. Buying all six tiers at first-time value costs $200.94 for 26,160 Lunite, enough to clear the full featured guarantee with change left over.
That double bonus resets with Version 3.3 on April 29, 2026, the game's second anniversary. The reset tradition started at the 2.3 anniversary; Version 1.2 had no reset at all. Returning players should check whether their tiers are still doubled before trusting the math above.
Recharge services are another consideration. They generally only need a UID and server, and buffget's wuthering waves uid recharge without password flow works on exactly that principle — no login credentials, so the currency can land while the banner is still open. Regional and platform pricing differs everywhere, including inside the official Store, so compare the checkout total, not the sticker.
The Lunite Subscription sits apart from all of this. For $4.99 you get 300 Lunite immediately plus 90 Astrite a day for 30 days — 3,000 Astrite total, roughly 18.75 pulls at about $0.27 each. That's the best Astrite-per-dollar rate in the game, it stacks up to 180 days, but it pays out too slowly to rescue a banner closing this week. The Pioneer Podcast battle pass ($9.99) adds 680 Astrite plus Radiant and Forging Tides, 4-star weapons and upgrade materials.
Cheaper ways to reach the guarantee
Version 2.7 (October 9–November 20, 2025) handed free-to-play players 10,422 Astrite plus 12 Radiant, 7 Forging and 22 Lustrous Tides — 77 pulls in one patch. Version 2.8 came to 10,170 Astrite, close to 97 pulls. Stack the Lunite Subscription and battle pass on top and v2.7 rises to 14,882 Astrite plus those Tides, about 110 pulls.
The steady drip matters as much as the events:
- Daily Vitality training: 60 Astrite a day (~2,520 over a 42-day patch)
- Tower of Adversity: 1,600 in v2.7
- New map exploration: up to ~1,600 more
- Duplicate pulls refund Afterglow Coral
- Oscillated Coral exchange: 7 Radiant plus 7 Lustrous Tides per patch at 8 Coral per pull — helpful, but it funds a slice of a pity, not a pity
Banking beats buying at the wrong moment. The second-anniversary version runs April 30 to June 10, 2026 and drops 50+ free pulls: 10 Radiant Tides on the April 30 login, 10 more on May 23, and 10 from Bountiful Waves. Redemption codes FACEALEPH1, 2NDANNIVERSARY and EVERSHINE add 100 Astrite each through Settings → Other → Redemption Code, valid before April 19, 2026.
New accounts get the Novice Convene (Utterance of Marvels), where pulls cost 20% less — 10 pulls for 8 Lustrous Tides — and a standard 5-star is guaranteed within 50 pulls. Beginner's Choice Convene then lets you pick one of Calcharo, Encore, Jianxin, Lingyang or Verina within 80 pulls before it closes permanently.
The weapon banner

Absolute Pulsation guarantees the featured 5-star weapon at the ceiling listed in the table above, with a 100% rate-up and no coin flip attached. There is no wrong weapon to lose to. If you want certainty per Lunite spent, this is the more predictable banner — just make sure you're converting into Forging Tide, not Radiant Tide.
Where players overspend
The most expensive mistake is pulling past a win. Once you've won the 50/50, the next featured Resonator is a fresh coin flip, and continuing because the account is hot is how 25,600-Lunite budgets get spent twice. The second trap is converting into the wrong Tide: Radiant for limited Resonators, Lustrous for Standard, Forging for weapons. The third is buying packs mid-banner without opening History first.
On safety: the UID you enter must match the server region your account lives on, and mismatched entries are the leading cause of failed delivery. Top-ups normally arrive in 5–30 minutes; if nothing shows up within 5–60 minutes, take your order ID to Kuro Games support. Never hand over login credentials to any service, and if a price looks impossibly low, look at what's being asked for in return.
FAQ
How much Lunite do I need for a guaranteed 5-star?
It depends which guarantee you mean. Any 5-star takes one trip to the ceiling in the table; the specific featured Resonator takes two trips when the coin flip goes against you. Count what you already hold — Tides, Astrite, a saved guarantee — then buy only the difference.
How many pulls is hard pity in Wuthering Waves?
Eighty, on both character and weapon banners. Kuro Games never used the 90-pull ceiling other gachas do. Soft pity makes reaching the full 80 unlikely in practice, but the currency for 80 is what should be sitting in your account before you start.
Does the 50/50 guarantee carry over to the next banner?
Yes. Lose it once and the next 5-star on any banner of the same type is guaranteed to be the featured one, and that status survives version changes. The pity counter is separate: it resets whenever any 5-star drops, whether or not it was guaranteed.
What is the difference between Lunite and Astrite?
Lunite is what you purchase in the Store; Astrite is what Convene actually spends. They convert one-for-one, so their value is identical — only the source differs. Radiant, Lustrous and Forging Tides are just pre-paid pulls of specific banner types.
Is the weapon banner guaranteed?
Yes. Absolute Pulsation awards the featured 5-star weapon at the same ceiling as a character 5-star, with a straight 100% rate-up and no coin flip. A weapon therefore costs about half of a worst-case featured Resonator, which makes it the safer banner for predictable spending.
Does Lunite expire if I don't use it?
There's no stated expiration on Lunite or on purchased packs, and nothing forces you to convert it. Leaving it as Lunite is the safer habit, since only Astrite and the correct Tide type work on the banner you actually end up pulling on.
